Huang Xiaowei, female, professor-level senior engineer, doctoral tutor.
He is currently the chief expert of Beijing Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals, director of the National Engineering Research Center for Rare Earth Materials, and concurrently the director of the Rare Earth Chemistry and Hydrometallurgical Professional Committee of the China Rare Earth Association, and the Secretary General of the Advanced Rare Earth Materials Industry Technology Innovation Technology Alliance of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Member of the New Materials Industry Development Strategy Advisory Committee. He was awarded the honorary title of China's first "Outstanding Engineer Award", "National Innovation First Prize", "National Excellent Science and Technology Worker" and "National Model Worker". In 2017, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
For more than 30 years, Professor Huang Xiaowei has been engaged in rare earth ore smelting, rare earth separation and purification, and research, engineering development and popularization of rare earth materials. He has achieved many innovative results in the efficient extraction and purification of rare earth resources and green separation and purification. More than 40 large-scale rare earth enterprises such as China Aluminum, Xiamen Tungsten and Gansu Rare Earth Group have promoted and applied the high-efficiency clean development and utilization of rare earth resources in China, leading the green development of the rare earth industry. The innovation achievements have won one second prize of national technology invention, one second prize and three third prizes of national science and technology progress, four Chinese patent excellence awards, seven provincial and ministerial first prizes, and 82 authorized invention patents ( 19 foreign countries, 32 first inventors),Published more than 160 papers.
